Jose Bustillos is an associate attorney in the New York office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability and Construction Practices. He focuses his practice on premises liability, construction, New York labor law matters, and automobile liability claims. Jose represents property owners, developers, contractors and subcontractor specialties, municipal agencies, and insurers. Prior to Lewis Brisbois, Jose represented hospitals and healthcare professionals in medical malpractice suits in New York City, and prior to that, he was an associate general counsel for the City of New York Department Health and Mental Hygiene. 

During law school Jose served as a law clerk for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office in 2018 and for Metro Regional Government in 2017 in Portland, Oregon. 

Jose received his B.S. in economics and history from the University of Oregon in 2011 and his J.D. from Northwestern Law School of Lewis & Clark College in 2019.
