Mike DiOrio is a partner in the Atlanta office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability, Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation, and Professional Liability Practices. He has extensive experience defending businesses and professionals in litigation through trial and appeal. 

Mike's practice is focused on premises liability, medical malpractice, products liability, professional liability, construction defect, negligent security, transportation & trucking, and toxic & mass tort defense. He has first-chaired more than 50 cases through trial. 

Currently, Mike represents several of the area’s four major sports franchises and their respective arena and entertainment venues in all areas of liability litigation. He also represents some of the world’s largest commercial property owners, developers and operators of industrial properties, multi-family housing, and restaurant & retail establishments in premises liability, employment, security, toxic tort, and security matters. 

He has represented nearly every major hospital system in Georgia and their staff. Mike spent years defending physicians and practitioners in the areas of plastic surgery, obstetrics, general surgery, laboratory work, radiology, chiropractic, dentistry, pediatrics, mental health professionals, emergency room care, and PAs, RNs, CRNAs and NPs in similar settings. 

Additionally, Mike has defended numerous construction claims arising out of commercial and residential defects at all levels including multi-billion-dollar development projects. He regularly defends all manners of transportation cases including auto, trucking, and rail. 

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Mike was a partner at an established Atlanta-based insurance defense firm.  Before entering private practice, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in Metro Atlanta. 

Mike lives in Atlanta with his wife, Morgan who is a therapist, and their three daughters. He is a dual citizen of the United States and Italy.
