Brian F. Walthart

Partner

Brian Walthart is a partner in the firm's Nashville office. Mr. Walthart has extensive litigation experience and has successfully tried a wide range of cases to verdict, including alleged insurance bad faith, product liability, construction defect, personal injury, sexual harassment, professional negligence, and civil rights.

In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Walthart has vast experience in defending a wide range of cases. He regularly works with clients to evaluate cases early to resolve them rapidly and efficiently, if possible. Mr. Walthart also has had experience and great success resolving cases through the use of pretrial motion practice or on appeal, if necessary.

  • Obtained defense verdict in sexual harassment trial in which audiotape of sexual conduct between manager and employee was caught on audio recording.
  • Obtained favorable jury verdict for general contract in construction defect trial in which plaintiff hotel sought $2.7 million.
  • Obtained favorable jury verdict for company in which employee rear-ended plaintiff's vehicle and liability was admitted.
  • Obtained summary judgment for Williamson County, Tennessee business in wrongful death suit in which plaintiffs alleged that the condition of defendant's business caused a motor vehicle collision that killed plaintiffs' decedent.
  • Obtained dismissal of clients from defamation lawsuit in which plaintiff alleged that defendants posted defamatory statements about plaintiff related to a high-profile school bullying incident.
